I received a letter from an inmate who I have no connection to and do not know.?

I received a letter from an inmate who I have no connection to and do not know. The letter was completely non-threatening but a little strange since I do not know him (not to mention almost 12 pages). I work in the healthcare field and he saw my picture in a magazine article regarding my boss "best docotors" of my city. He says he felt compelled to contact me because I stood out to him for multiple reasons that he went into great length discussing those... He is in for murder and has two life sentences currectly at Tamm SuperMax prison. I have googled him and read about his crimes. I have no idea what to do. Is this normal? How was he able to send this if he is in Illinois' only Supermax prison??
