Sinus infection - hurts on roof of mouth when I swallow - normal?

Hey all! went to the doctor yesterday and I have a pretty bad sinus infection. He put me on azithromycin (Today is day 2). I mentioned to him that it hurts to swallow a bit and that my neck was a tad achey but he saw nothing inflammed in the throat nor did he feel any swlloen lymphs or anything - he mentioned that it could very easily be radiating pain b/c everything i so connected in the ears, nose throat area. Now, I AM a bit of a hypochondriac and I have had bad experiences with my tonsils and things becoming inflammed, even an abscess on one tonsil (excrutiating pain!!!) so I keeop checking my throat and today I sware it's red and inflammed (I think??).. oy vay. I guess what my question is: is it at all normal for th eroof od your mouth to hurt when you swallow due to sinus infection??? Should I be worried that it's something worse than sinusitus? Please advise. Thank ou so much!!
