Should i call him?? Opinions?

My ex and i broke up 1 1/2 years ago. We texted a little after the break up, but not much. Anyways over winter break, i tried texting him and he actually texted back and asked how i was doing, what i've been up to, and everything. We had a good convo and he brought up a lot of stuff that i mentioned to him when we we were going out(like me doing gymnastics when i was little). We talked on fb a little over the break(he didnt have cell service where he was at). Also, i was one of the first people he added when he got an fb(which was like 2 months ago). When school started, he didnt talk to me. -_-. I tried texting him, nothing. But i in class, he stared at me for a couple of seconds, and when the stapler skipped me and i asked the kid behind him if i could use it, and he said no, when he got it, he handed it to me without using it first. Which suprised me cause he's usually not that curtious toward his friends who are girls. Also, yesterday, when i was walking down the hall with my best guy friend, we were laughing and i looked over and he was staring at me. I sware to god that we both just stared at each other for at least 5 seconds. And i think i heard him walking behind us after we passed him. Should i text him saying "Can we talk? Call me."?
