What is a compelling show to watch after Lost?

I have watched Lost twice now and love it! It's great and very addicting with extremely clever character development, but now I don't know what else to watch. Lost isn't the only show I have ever seen, I have also watched and enjoyed Pushing Daisies, Arrested Development, Wonderfalls, Veronica Mars, 30 Rock, Glee, etc. I have seen about a season and a half of V, Lie to Me, and Heroes, about half of Freaks and Geeks, the beginning of Fringe, Ugly Betty, and Friday Night Lights, but nothing is really grabbing me. I have considered watching Life on Mars (U.S. Version) and/or FlashForward, but have heard they are too focused on plot instead of characters and have bad endings? I have also heard the first season of Prison Break is great but gets worse throughout, and I'm not sure if it has a good ending or not since it was canceled. Basically I'm asking for a riveting serial drama that will interest me for a while. I am basically finished with V and like Heroes but it seems poorly acted and very slow-paced. I've heard Damages is awesome and Fringe gets less procedural as it goes on...are those good ideas? Let me know your suggestions! Thanks.
