Why do Yahoo videos fail to load and play?

Almost consistently, but with one in twenty actually running, when a Yahoo news video is clicked, the advertising video runs and closes, then the loading chasing ring runs, but nothing loads to run. IE-8, FF-4/5. Intentional baiting to the ad, with no intention of wasting further bandwidth? Servers too busy to tell me server is too busy?
