Am I the only one who finds this possible scenario depressing?

I find your absolute necessity for an afterlife for meaning depressing. I may not believe in an objective purpose, but there are many things in life that make it fulfilling and joyful, from reading books, to being with family, appreciating art architecture sculpture music, even debating ideas on the net with other people, etc....
